RH would be pretty great if they had an IRA option tbh, I feel like the ease of access and ease of use for robinhood is way better suited for people to grow money slowly over time.DAS Trader Pro is a desktop trading platform built for professional direct-access trading. (IE I cant place an order at midnight to be placed and executed at day open that day) Problem for me with webull is A: there are no robo-visersī: DRIP isnt an option to my knowledge on the roth IRAĭ: can't place orders unless its within trading hours. You have to actually fucking pick and choose your investments (if you dont have a robo-viser do it for you) and trade smart to make sure you get gains, and you have to reinvest dividends everytime you get them. I honestly only used webull because it was a free mobile investment app I could open an IRA on thinking "hurr durr Ill get interest just by putting money into it" except nobody ever fucking tells you that you dont just magically "get" interest as if it a high yield savings account. Take it with a grain of salt because they raised margin requirements during the GME peak, but at least didn't block trading like the small shops. Honestly my only real gripe is the godforsaken TraderTV alerts that some show is airing soon. And while ToS's Java-ness gives it some of ATP's desktop oddness, it's very usable and only sips CPU when idle. Program your own charting formulas and auto-trading strategies with ThinkScript. Paper trading to test strategies in real time, OnDemand to test strategies by replaying the market from any date or time, fast forward and rewind. After the learning curve, it's a darn powerful platform. You're going to google a lot and feel silly when you realize these abbreviations are for terms you were already familiar with for the most part. Everything is an abbreviation, and the depth of bracketed trade tickets available eclipse most other platforms. ThinkOrSwim does a fantastic job of making you feel like you've forgotten what stocks even are. The UI is clunky and unresponsive, and frankly the app's failure to meet the baseline of requirements of usability prevented me from giving it any more consideration. ATP pegs my CPU and keeps my fans on maximum even when the app is idle in the background. I spend my daytime hours on a higher end late model Macbook Pro. It's a shame because their UIs do a fantastic job of showing new traders the ropes, but my top two considerations when I picked were Fidelity and Ameritrade.ĪTP is a trainwreck. IMO Robinhood and Webull highlighted why it's a risky play to trade with any of the smaller outfits with less liquidity. I do have a Robinhood still, mainly for my yolo plays and my dipshit options. I felt like trade execution times to be horribly slow.Īctive trader pro, I hated every second of this and will never open it again.Įveryone looking to transfer from Robinhood (WHICH YOU SHOULD) I strongly suggest Webull, it is kind of the perfect in between from Robinhood and think or swim or the shittier version of Tos (active trader pro) And the charting and scans there work quite well in my opinion. It slightly difficult to learn but the charting is brilliant and the scans work unbelievable well. Think or swim- whew! quite the learning experience. (I though y’all were retarded but some of those people are legit retards) Paper trading competitions, 24/7 news, press releases, financials and earnings dates. Webull-the UI and the in depth detail as well as the desktop version is a joy to use it visually perfect (in my opinion) as long as it’s in dark mode.
